About me
I have always had a love for animals and growing up always had dogs and various pets.
Since welcoming our first family dog six years ago, my love for them has grown even deeper.
We now have two dogs at home, Chester and Theodore who are both very much part of the family. I love walking them and meeting other dogs when we are out and about. I am always trying to find new places for us to visit to keep things interesting as I'm sure you'll agree going on the same walk day in day out can become a bit boring.
I love being outdoors and keeping fit and enjoy nothing more than a long walk with the dogs.
This is why I decided to turn this passion into my job.
I have had various jobs over the years. Before having my two children, who are now both at senior school, I worked in London as a Patent Secretary in an Intellectual Property firm. Since then, to fit in around the kids, I have worked in a bank and been a dinner lady.
Over recent years I have developed a great interest in canine behaviour and love spending time with dogs and getting to know and understand them.
Before starting my journey as a dog walker, I wanted to make sure that I had the correct skills and knowledge to ensure I am professional as possible. For this reason I completed and passed the IMDT Professional Dog Walking Certification in October 2024. I have since become a member of the MWDA (Modern Dog Walkers association). The MWDA is the largest professional body supporting and representing professional dog walkers in the UK. As a member I am committed to adhering to the MDWA Professional code of conduct and completing the annual Continual Professional Development (CPD). This will keep my knowledge up to date so you can be sure that your dogs will be in the very best hands.
